SAP Admits To “Inappropriate Downloads” From Oracle

In court papers, SAP has now conceded that one of its units did perform “some inappropriate downloads of fixes and support documents” from Oracle.
The Tuesday acknowledgement came from SAP CEO Henning Kagermann. “Even a single inappropriate download is unacceptable from my perspective,” Kagermann said. “We regret very much that this occurred,” according to this CIO Today story. Technically, this was a violation but it’s far from clear whether Oracle suffered any true harm or whether SAP achieveved any material advantage.
Cards issued by European banks when used online cross border don't usually support AVS checks. So, when a European card is used with a billing address that's in the US, an ecom merchant wouldn't necessarily know that the shipping zip code doesn't match the billing code.
