A radiation-proof RFID tag? It might be here, for those who believe what a Pennsylvania manufacturer is saying. They are touting a tag that’s safely sterilizable by gamma radiation.
The tag, called GammaTag and manufactured by a company dubbed AdvantaPure, is being positioned for the pharmaceutical, bioprocess/biomedical, food and beverage, and medical device markets.according to a story in Technology News Daily. The idea is that the chip can be attached to devices that needed to overrun by gamma radiation, an act that would wreck havor with most tracking devices.
Cards issued by European banks when used online cross border don't usually support AVS checks. So, when a European card is used with a billing address that's in the US, an ecom merchant wouldn't necessarily know that the shipping zip code doesn't match the billing code.
