With Starbucks preparing a major global push—going from about 3,600 non-U.S. locations to about 20,000—it’s opting to outsource its IT infrastructure efforts.
The support for the coffee giant’s retail stores, support centers and manufacturing facilities will go to Unisys, according to a statement from Starbucks CIO Brian Crynes. Services are supposed to include IT security, help desk, network monitoring, asset tracking and business continuity.
