“Click-N-Ship” Becomes “Click-N-Curse” As Outages Riddle Postal Service

“Unprecedented” problems with the United States Postal Service’s popular Click-N-Ship service probably had many holiday shippers clicking and cursing throughout the week, but a USPS spokesman said the worst was over by Dec. 12.
“Obviously, this is one of the busiest times of the year for us and for our customers,” one Postal official said. “Volume definitely played a part, but there was also a technical glitch in the system.”
Cards issued by European banks when used online cross border don't usually support AVS checks. So, when a European card is used with a billing address that's in the US, an ecom merchant wouldn't necessarily know that the shipping zip code doesn't match the billing code.
