January 14th, 2010Well, the NRF issued its final official tally Thursday (Jan. 14): an increase of 1.1 percent. For our team, which never did better than a C- in economics class, that ain't too shabby. For the record, we knew the figures would be released about now and were fully prepared to eat crow if we had to. Glad we got it a lot closer than the NRF did. Cards issued by European banks when used online cross border don't usually support AVS checks. So, when a European card is used with a billing address that's in the US, an ecom merchant wouldn't necessarily know that the shipping zip code doesn't match the billing code.
